Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS AT THE KUNSTFABRIEK, which included the work A French coastal scene with fishermen on the beach by Henri Saintin. It changed hands for a price of NLG 4,700.00 (€ 2,056.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of NLG 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henri Saintin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Matin de Pêche Dans Le Vieux Port de Nice in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 9,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS AT THE KUNSTFABRIEK durch, in der auch die Arbeit A French coastal scene with fishermen on the beach von Henri Saintin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von NLG 4.700,00 (€ 2.056,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Saintin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Matin de Pêche Dans Le Vieux Port de Nice im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.000,00.
