A top price for Henri Ippolitovich Semiradsky - as previously expected
The work Un Naufragé Mendiant by Henri Ippolitovich Semiradsky was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The price achieved of GBP 1,082,500.00 (€ 1,302,643.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000,000.00 – 1,300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Un Naufragé Mendiant is the most expensive artwork by Henri Ippolitovich Semiradsky that we have observed at auctions so far.
