Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Joseph Being Sold By His Brothers by Heinrich Frederic Schopin for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,524.88). This price was achieved in the auction European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Heinrich Frederic Schopin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Enfance De Paul Et Virginie, which sold at auction in June 2014 for EUR 23,750.00.
