Die Arbeit Portrait of a harpist and singer von Henri-François Riesener kam im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 12.959,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri-François Riesener auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Two Young Women, Said To Be The Baroness Pichon And Mme De Fourcroy im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 74.074,07).
