Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in New York held the auction The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 2 |Old Master, 19th and 20th Century Paintings, Day Sale, which included the work Roses by Henri Fantin-Latour. It changed hands for a price of USD 327,600.00 (€ 329,776.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Fantin-Latour achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bouquet de fleurs in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 3,526,000.00 (€ 4,055,670.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 2 |Old Master, 19th and 20th Century Paintings, Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roses von Henri Fantin-Latour zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 329.776,53) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Fantin-Latour erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bouquet de fleurs im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.526.000,00 (€ 4.055.670,58).
