In October 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work French An Algerian Horseman by Henri Deluermoz. It changed hands for a price of USD 14,375.00 (€ 11,334.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Henri Deluermoz have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2017 the work Homme retenant un cheval was auctioned for EUR 16,250.00.
