Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Sunrise by Henri Bastin for AUD 940.00 (€ 520.33). This price was achieved in the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS at Christies in Melbourne and was even below the estimate range of AUD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Bastin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Waterfall in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 49,200.00 (€ 29,767.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sunrise von Henri Bastin für AUD 940,00 (€ 520,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Bastin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Waterfall im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 49.200,00 (€ 29.767,14).
