Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work A) Presentation Drawing Of A Tea Urn B) A Working Sketch For The Same Urn by Henri Auguste. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,518.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Auguste - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Design For A Wine Cooler, which sold at auction in January 2014 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,777.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A) Presentation Drawing Of A Tea Urn B) A Working Sketch For The Same Urn von Henri Auguste zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.518,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Auguste mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Design For A Wine Cooler beobachtet, die im Januar 2014 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 27.777,78) versteigert wurde.
