In June 2004 Christies in Paris held the auction TABLEAUX ANCIENS ET DU XIXEME SIECLE, which included the work Deux perroquets by Henri Regnault. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,275.00 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Henri Regnault have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Intérieur de Harem in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 72,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion TABLEAUX ANCIENS ET DU XIXEME SIECLE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deux perroquets von Henri Regnault zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 15.275,00 und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Regnault auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Intérieur de Harem im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 72.000,00.
