In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction British Art on Paper Including 'The Blue Rigi' by J.M.W. Turner, R.A., which included the work A Farmhouse by Heneage Finch, 4Th Earl of Aylesford. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,472.76), 60% above the upper estimate. This high result makes A Farmhouse the most expensive artwork by Heneage Finch, 4Th Earl of Aylesford that we have observed at auctions so far.
