Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hendrick Brandtsoen could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Still life of a glass beaker and a letter on a ledge changed hands for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,169.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Hendrick Brandtsoen have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2010 by the work Still life of a decorative porcelain bowl with an apple and cherry on a table at USD 2,750.00 (€ 1,979.27).
