Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Bathsheba by Hendrick Bloemaert for USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,088.60). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Bloemaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory Of Winter in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 866,500.00 (€ 1,115,472.85).
