Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in London held the auction European & British Art, Part I, which included the work Girl at the Gate by Helene Schjerfbeck. The price achieved of GBP 504,000.00 (€ 601,865.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Helene Schjerfbeck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tanssiaiskengät; Balskorna (Dancing Shoes) in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 3,044,500.00 (€ 3,872,737.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European & British Art, Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl at the Gate von Helene Schjerfbeck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 504.000,00 (€ 601.865,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Helene Schjerfbeck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tanssiaiskengät; Balskorna (Dancing Shoes) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.044.500,00 (€ 3.872.737,05).
