Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brown Eyes by Helene Schjerfbeck was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 630,000.00 (€ 752,331.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Helene Schjerfbeck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tanssiaiskengät; Balskorna (Dancing Shoes) in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 3,044,500.00 (€ 3,872,737.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Brown Eyes von Helene Schjerfbeck kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 630.000,00 (€ 752.331,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Helene Schjerfbeck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tanssiaiskengät; Balskorna (Dancing Shoes) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.044.500,00 (€ 3.872.737,05).
