In July last year Sothebys in London held the auction European & British Art, Part I, which included the work Blonde Girl (Girl with Blue Bow) by Helene Schjerfbeck. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 441,000.00 (€ 526,632.33), 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Helene Schjerfbeck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tanssiaiskengät; Balskorna (Dancing Shoes) in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 3,044,500.00 (€ 3,872,737.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European & British Art, Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blonde Girl (Girl with Blue Bow) von Helene Schjerfbeck zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 441.000,00 (€ 526.632,33) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Helene Schjerfbeck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tanssiaiskengät; Balskorna (Dancing Shoes) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.044.500,00 (€ 3.872.737,05).
