However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helen Allingham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beside The Old Church Gate Farm, Smarden, Kent, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,727.60).
