Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reunited by Helen Allingham was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,450.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Helen Allingham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beside The Old Church Gate Farm, Smarden, Kent in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,727.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reunited von Helen Allingham wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.450,27) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Helen Allingham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Beside The Old Church Gate Farm, Smarden, Kent im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 34.727,60).
