Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hedda Sterne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2017. In the Living with Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,840.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hedda Sterne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York VIII in May last year with an auction result of USD 504,000.00 (€ 469,667.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hedda Sterne erzielte im August 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Living with Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.840,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hedda Sterne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York VIII im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 469.667,32).
