This artwork by He Sui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Pair of Birds sold for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,453.28) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. This high result makes Pair of Birds the most expensive artwork by He Sui that we have observed at auctions so far.
