Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Calligraphy by He Shaoji was auctioned at POLY in October last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 500,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 180,000.00 (€ 23,066.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by He Shaoji achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Draft Books Couplets And Poems in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 514,000.00 (€ 451,273.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Calligraphy von He Shaoji im Oktober letzten Jahres bei POLY versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 180.000,00 (€ 23.066,24) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von He Shaoji erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Draft Books Couplets And Poems im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 514.000,00 (€ 451.273,05).
