Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February last year Christies in New York held the auction Outsider Art, which included the work Black Tongue, circa 1987-1989 by Hawkins Bolden. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,118.32), 17% above the upper estimate. Other works by Hawkins Bolden have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,520.28) in January 2018 for the work without title.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Outsider Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Tongue, circa 1987-1989 von Hawkins Bolden zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.118,32) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Hawkins Bolden haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.520,28) im Januar 2018 für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet.
