This artwork by Henry William Phelan Gibb achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2006. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Farmhouse through the trees sold for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,582.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Admittedly, works by Henry William Phelan Gibb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Morning on the Seine, Paris in January 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,432.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry William Phelan Gibb erzielte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wurde die Arbeit Farmhouse through the trees für GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.582,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry William Phelan Gibb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Morning on the Seine, Paris im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.432,47).
