In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work Cattle grazing in a meadow by Harry Fidler. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,697.24) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harry Fidler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Returning home in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 10,904.75).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle grazing in a meadow von Harry Fidler zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.697,24) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harry Fidler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Returning home im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 10.904,75).
