Bunnell Collection auction at Phillips in an online auction in February this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,516.13), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Callahan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trees And Mist (Chicago, Trees In Snow) in June 2010 with an auction result of USD 254,500.00 (€ 207,062.08).

Die Arbeit Eleanor, Port Huron von Harry Callahan wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Eye That Shapes: Further Selections from the Peter C. Bunnell Collection bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.788,00 (€ 4.516,13) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Callahan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trees And Mist (Chicago, Trees In Snow) im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 254.500,00 (€ 207.062,08).
