Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aix-en-Provence, France by Harry Callahan was sold in the The Eye That Shapes: Further Selections from the Peter C. Bunnell Collection auction at Phillips in an online auction in February this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,516.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Callahan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trees And Mist (Chicago, Trees In Snow) in June 2010 with an auction result of USD 254,500.00 (€ 207,062.08).

Bunnell Collection bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert.
