Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two Harrison Begay (Haskay Yahne Yah) Paintings by Harrison Begay was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 500.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 408.00 (€ 348.18). Other works by Harrison Begay have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2020 by the work A Harrison Begay (Haskay Yahne Yah) Painting at USD 510.00 (€ 435.23).
