A top price for Harriet Gouldsmith - as previously expected
In March 2008 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures, which included the work South view of the watermill, Ventnor, Isle of Wight by Harriet Gouldsmith. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,281.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, South view of the watermill, Ventnor, Isle of Wight is the most expensive artwork by Harriet Gouldsmith that we have observed at auctions so far.
