Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures, which included the work Summer Flowers In A Bronze Urn by Harold Clayton. The price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,692.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Clayton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Flowers In A White Pot, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,645.54).

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer Flowers In A Bronze Urn von Harold Clayton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.692,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Clayton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers In A White Pot beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.645,54) versteigert wurde.
