Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three donkeys by Harmen Meurs was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 840.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harmen Meurs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Etalagepoppen in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 105,750.00 (€ 50,828.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three donkeys von Harmen Meurs wurde im Januar 2005 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 840,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harmen Meurs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Etalagepoppen im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 105.750,00 (€ 50.828,39).
