Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Torn Fabric by Har Sanders for EUR 1,500.00. This price was achieved in the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Har Sanders - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Markies, which sold at auction in December 2001 for EUR 3,760.00.
