Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Portrait studies of fisher folk, Bretagne by Hans von Bartels was sold in the Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2009. The result of EUR 1,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans von Bartels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An der stürmischen Küste in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 15,480.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait studies of fisher folk, Bretagne von Hans von Bartels wurde im September 2009 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert.
