In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work The conservatory in the house of Kamma Rahbek by Hans Hilsøe for DKK 5,500.00 (€ 737.66). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Hans Hilsøe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An interior in April 2001 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,061.59).
