Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Part I, which included the work Portrait of young man, aged 27, half-length, in a tan slashed doublet, holding gloves by Hans Eworth. The price achieved of GBP 441,000.00 (€ 514,513.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Eworth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Joan Thornbury, Mrs Richard Wakeman | 《瓊・桑伯里，理查德・韋克曼夫人肖像》, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 983,000.00 (€ 1,098,098.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of young man, aged 27, half-length, in a tan slashed doublet, holding gloves von Hans Eworth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 441.000,00 (€ 514.513,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Eworth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Joan Thornbury, Mrs Richard Wakeman | 《瓊・桑伯里，理查德・韋克曼夫人肖像》 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für GBP 983.000,00 (€ 1.098.098,61) versteigert wurde.
