Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work “Portræt og fisk” (portrait and fish) by Hans Christian Rylander was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in Modern art and design in September this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 4,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,000.00 (€ 268.14). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Christian Rylander - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sketch for the decoration of Proviantgården, Christiansborg, which sold at auction in June this year for DKK 4,200.00 (€ 563.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit “Portræt og fisk” (portrait and fish) von Hans Christian Rylander im September diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen in Modern art and design versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 4.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.000,00 (€ 268,14) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Christian Rylander mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sketch for the decoration of Proviantgården, Christiansborg beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für DKK 4.200,00 (€ 563,85) versteigert wurde.
