Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Groups of Horses by Hans Baldung was sold in the Old Master Prints auction at Christies in New York in January 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,643.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Baldung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family With Five Angels in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 2,860,000.00 (€ 3,206,688.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Groups of Horses von Hans Baldung wurde im Januar 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.643,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Baldung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Holy Family With Five Angels im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.860.000,00 (€ 3.206.688,88).
