A top price for Hans Baldung - as previously expected
The work The Holy Family With Five Angels by Hans Baldung was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 2,860,000.00 (€ 3,206,688.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Holy Family With Five Angels is the most expensive artwork by Hans Baldung that we have observed at auctions so far.
