Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Pose No. 3: AC by Handiwirman Saputra. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 450,000.00 – 650,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 46,931.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Handiwirman Saputra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Akhir Pekan Dan Projek Organik Dari Tak Berakar Tak Berpucuk #3 (Weekend And Organic Projects From No Roots No Shoots #3) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 279,110.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pose No. 3: AC von Handiwirman Saputra zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 450.000,00 – 650.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 46.931,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Handiwirman Saputra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Akhir Pekan Dan Projek Organik Dari Tak Berakar Tak Berpucuk #3 (Weekend And Organic Projects From No Roots No Shoots #3) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 279.110,50).
