Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Hanabusa Itcho was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2004. The price achieved of GBP 358.50 (€ 515.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hanabusa Itcho achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bird on plum branch in moonlight in March 2002 with an auction result of USD 4,700.00 (€ 5,391.76).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Hanabusa Itcho kam im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 358,50 (€ 515,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hanabusa Itcho erzielen.
