This artwork by Han Tianheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Resting Under Moonlight sold for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,110.83) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Han Tianheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Birds, which sold at auction in May 2014 for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 23,643.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Han Tianheng erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Resting Under Moonlight für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.110,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Han Tianheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Birds beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 23.643,70) versteigert wurde.
