The work Birds by Han Tianheng was worth HKD 250,000.00 (€ 23,643.70) to a buyer in May 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Birds the most expensive artwork by Han Tianheng that we have observed at auctions so far.
