This artwork by Han Tianheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Calligraphic Couplet sold for HKD 40,000.00 (€ 3,782.99) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Han Tianheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Birds in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 23,643.70).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Han Tianheng erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet für HKD 40.000,00 (€ 3.782,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Han Tianheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Birds im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 23.643,70).
