Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The First Step by Hamed Owais was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in October 2019. The price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 40,597.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hamed Owais - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Egyptian al Hod Hod (The Hopooe Bird) , which sold at auction in October 2017 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 85,514.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The First Step von Hamed Owais wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 40.597,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hamed Owais mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Egyptian al Hod Hod (The Hopooe Bird) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 85.514,68) versteigert wurde.
