Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hal Robinson could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work A stream in a forest changed hands for USD 437.50 (€ 317.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 900.00. Admittedly, works by Hal Robinson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hudson River Palisades in March 2004 with an auction result of USD 2,868.00 (€ 2,333.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hal Robinson konnte im Februar 2011 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit A stream in a forest für USD 437,50 (€ 317,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 700,00 – 900,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hal Robinson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hudson River Palisades im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.868,00 (€ 2.333,22).
