Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work Waves crashing on the shore, a yacht beyond by H. Murray. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 844.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by H. Murray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Meet at the Fox Inn; Breaking Cover; On the Scent; Full Cry in March 2002 with an auction result of USD 5,287.50 (€ 6,065.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waves crashing on the shore, a yacht beyond von H. Murray zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 844,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von H. Murray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Meet at the Fox Inn; Breaking Cover; On the Scent; Full Cry im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.287,50 (€ 6.065,73).
