The work Seated nude by H. J. van Piggelen was sold in the A Dealer Is Selling Off auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. It achieved a price of EUR 360.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20 %. Admittedly, works by H. J. van Piggelen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A lady smoking in January 2006 with an auction result of EUR 3,120.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Seated nude von H. J. van Piggelen wurde im Januar 2006 in der Auktion A Dealer Is Selling Off bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 360,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von H. J. van Piggelen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A lady smoking im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.120,00.
