Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work A street musician by Gyula Tornai. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,641.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gyula Tornai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Travelling Musicians, Tangier in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 170,500.00 (€ 219,490.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A street musician von Gyula Tornai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.641,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gyula Tornai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Travelling Musicians, Tangier im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 170.500,00 (€ 219.490,04).
