Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A Mid-17Th Century German Silver-Mounted Ivory Tankard, A Peach, Some Grapes And A Glass Goblet, On A Stone Ledge With A Landscape Beyond; And A 17Th Century Bowl And Cover, A Lemon, Some Cherries, Grapes And An 18Th Century German Jug, On A Stone Le by Gyula Bubárnik. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,375.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gyula Bubárnik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lobster, peaches, grapes and oranges on a silver platter, with a roemer silver cup and cover, on a table, which sold at auction in January 2006 for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,517.68).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.375,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden.
