Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Théâtre National de L'Opéra by Guy Arnoux was sold in the THE JOHN W. KLUGE MORVEN COLLECTION auction at Christies in New York in December 2005. The price achieved of USD 480.00 (€ 405.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guy Arnoux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Air France, Amérique Du Nord, which sold at auction in May 2014 for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,229.03).

Die Arbeit Théâtre National de L'Opéra von Guy Arnoux wurde im Dezember 2005 in der Auktion THE JOHN W. KLUGE MORVEN COLLECTION bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 480,00 (€ 405,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Guy Arnoux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Air France, Amérique Du Nord beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.229,03) versteigert wurde.
