A top price for Gustave Prucha - as previously expected
In February 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work The Snowball Fight by Gustave Prucha. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,070.00 (€ 3,387.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Snowball Fight is the most expensive artwork by Gustave Prucha that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Februar 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Snowball Fight von Gustave Prucha zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.070,00 (€ 3.387,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Snowball Fight das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gustave Prucha, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
