In December 2012 Artcurial held the auction Orientalism, which included the work La Fileuse by Gustave Nicolas Pinel. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,148.00 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gustave Nicolas Pinel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Preparing the Wool in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 41,800.00 (€ 28,891.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Artcurial die Auktion Orientalism durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Fileuse von Gustave Nicolas Pinel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.148,00 und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustave Nicolas Pinel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Preparing the Wool im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.800,00 (€ 28.891,35).
